Comprehensive grooming care tailored to your pet's breed, coat type, and individual needs

Professional full groom in progress

Full Dog Groom

A complete grooming appointment covering everything your dog needs to look and feel their best.

Our full groom is the most comprehensive appointment we offer. It includes a thorough bath using shampoo appropriate for your dog's coat type, a conditioning treatment, blow-dry and brush-out, breed-appropriate styling or trim, nail clip, and ear cleaning.

Every full groom begins with a brief pre-appointment assessment where we check the coat condition, skin, and take note of anything that warrants attention. At the end, we'll give you a brief rundown of how your dog handled the appointment and anything we noticed along the way.

What's Included

  • Shampoo bath (coat-appropriate products)
  • Conditioning treatment
  • Blow-dry and brush-out
  • Breed-appropriate cut or trim
  • Nail clip and file

  • Pre and post-appointment coat check

Questions About Full Grooming

Appointment length varies depending on the size of the dog, coat type, and how the animal handles the session. Smaller dogs typically take 1.5–2.5 hours. Larger dogs or those with thick coats may take 3 hours or more. We'll give you an estimated pickup time when you book.

We use a range of professional-grade shampoos suited to different coat and skin types. If your dog has known allergies or sensitivities, please let us know at booking and we'll select the most appropriate product or suggest you bring a vet-recommended alternative.

Severe matting often needs to be addressed before a standard groom can be completed. In some cases, a mat removal treatment or a shorter clip-down may be necessary. We'll discuss the options with you and never proceed with anything that would cause the dog discomfort without your agreement.
Puppy during a gentle introductory grooming session

Puppy Introduction Grooming

A gentle first experience designed to build positive associations with the grooming process for life.

Puppies that have calm, positive first grooming experiences are significantly less likely to develop grooming anxiety as adults. Our Puppy Introduction sessions are specifically designed with this in mind.

Rather than a full groom, these appointments focus on familiarising your puppy with the sounds, sensations, and handling involved in grooming — bath and dry, the feel of brushes, the noise of clippers, and gentle handling of paws and ears. We go at the puppy's pace and use positive reinforcement throughout.

We recommend puppies have their first introduction appointment once they've completed their initial vaccination course and have been cleared by a vet for socialisation outings. Typically this is around 12–16 weeks.

What's Included

  • Gentle bath and blow-dry introduction
  • Brush and comb familiarisation
  • Nail and paw handling
  • Ear and face handling
  • Positive reinforcement throughout
  • Owner debrief on home grooming tips

Questions About Puppy Introductions

Most puppies are ready for their first grooming introduction around 12–16 weeks, after their initial vaccination course is complete. Your vet will advise when it's safe for your puppy to begin socialisation outings. Let us know your puppy's vaccination status when booking.

Many puppies only need 1–2 introduction sessions before they're comfortable with a regular groom. Some puppies, particularly more sensitive or reactive breeds, benefit from 3 or more gradual sessions. Emma will advise you based on how your puppy responds at each visit.
Groomer doing breed-specific styling on a poodle

Breed-Specific Grooming

Grooming tailored to the specific coat structure, growth patterns, and traditional standards of your dog's breed.

Different breeds have significantly different coat types and grooming requirements. A Labrador's short, dense double coat requires a very different approach to a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's long, silky fur or a Poodle's curly, continuously growing coat.

Our breed-specific grooming service is for owners who want their dog styled according to breed guidelines or traditional clip patterns. It's also the right choice for dogs with complex coat types that require specialised knowledge — such as Schnauzers, Airedales, and wire-coated terriers that benefit from hand-stripping or specific scissor work.
