Every appointment follows a considered, unhurried process designed with your dog's comfort in mind.
You contact us to schedule an appointment. We'll ask a few questions about your dog's breed, coat condition, any sensitivities, and what you're hoping to achieve from the groom.
When you arrive, we greet your dog calmly and take time to let them settle before anything begins. We check the coat condition, skin, ears, and nails to plan the session appropriately.
Your dog is bathed using appropriate shampoo and conditioner for their coat type. We take care around the face and ears. After rinsing, we dry using a low-stress method suited to the individual dog.
Once dry, we brush through the coat carefully to remove tangles and loose fur. Trimming or clipping is performed based on the agreed style and your dog's coat requirements.
Nails are trimmed, ears checked and cleaned if needed, and a final brush through ensures an even finish. We do a brief overall check before returning your dog to you.
We return your dog and share a brief summary of how the appointment went, any observations about the coat or skin, and home care tips until the next visit.

Sarah has been working professionally with dogs since 2015. She completed Certificate III in Dog Grooming and has a particular interest in working with anxious dogs and complex coat types. Her patient, calm approach sets the tone for every appointment.
Emma joined the team in 2019 and quickly became the go-to for puppy introduction sessions. Her background in animal behaviour studies means she understands how to read a puppy's signals and adjust the pace accordingly.
James brings a confident and methodical approach to larger breeds. With over six years of experience grooming everything from Golden Retrievers to German Shepherds, he has developed a strong understanding of double-coated and heavy-shedding dogs.
"Toby is my 9-year-old Maltese and has been coming here for three years. The consistency is what I appreciate most — they know him, remember his quirks, and the quality of the groom has always been reliable."
"Took in our husky for de-shedding and the difference was remarkable. The team was thorough, patient with his size, and he came out looking clean and settled. Booking again next month."
"Our cavoodle Coco was a matted mess when we first brought her in. They were honest about what needed to happen and didn't promise the impossible. The result was tidy, and Coco seemed comfortable the whole time."
"I run a small rescue and occasionally need dogs groomed before rehoming. Every dog has come back clean, calm, and much more presentable. It genuinely helps with adoption readiness."
"Max is part poodle and his coat grows fast. We come in every five weeks and the groomer has the trim down perfectly — exactly the length I ask for each time. Consistent, reliable, easy to book."
"My daughter's yorkie was terrified of grooming before we found Adorable. Emma's patience over several sessions has made a real difference. He still isn't a fan of nail trims, but everything else is manageable now."
Five questions about grooming basics. Each answer includes an explanation — whether you get it right or not. It's a helpful way to understand the reasoning behind good coat care.
Appointment duration depends on your dog's size, coat type, and the service booked. A bath and brush for a small smooth-coated dog may take around 1 hour, while a full groom for a large fluffy breed could take 2–3 hours. We'll give you an estimate when you book.
Most owners drop their dog off and return at the agreed time. Some dogs settle better when their owner is not present, as it removes the expectation of immediate departure. We'll advise based on your dog's temperament.
Absolutely. First-time grooming visits are actually something we enjoy. We take a slower approach, make sure the dog is comfortable before moving on, and give you feedback afterwards on how they responded and what to expect next time.
For the safety of all dogs in our care, we ask that pets are up to date with their C3 vaccinations as a minimum. If you're unsure of your dog's vaccination status, your local vet can advise. We may ask for proof of vaccination at or before your first appointment.
We can often accommodate dogs with mild skin sensitivities using appropriate shampoos and gentle techniques. However, we are not veterinary professionals. If your dog has a diagnosed skin condition, please discuss this with us before booking, and bring any guidance from your vet regarding product restrictions.
Matting can range from minor surface tangles to severe, deep-set knots. We will assess your dog's coat on arrival and discuss the most appropriate approach with you. In some cases, removal of the mat is the most humane option as de-matting a heavily matted coat can be uncomfortable. We'll always explain the options.
You don't need to come in with a specific style in mind. We can guide you based on your dog's coat type, lifestyle, and how much maintenance you're prepared to do at home. We'll discuss options and suggest what tends to work well for similar dogs.
At present, our services are focused on dogs. Cat grooming requires a different skill set and environment. If you're looking for a cat groomer, your local vet or pet care directory may be able to point you toward a specialist.
You can contact us by phone at +61 409 779 823 or via our contact form. We'll discuss your dog's needs, available times, and confirm your booking by return message or call.
Yes. If your dog has built a good relationship with a particular groomer, we're happy to try to match appointments accordingly. Just mention it when you book. While we can't always guarantee availability, we'll do our best to accommodate the request.
We use professional-grade, pet-safe grooming products appropriate for different coat types. If your dog has known product sensitivities or allergies, let us know and we will discuss alternatives with you before the appointment.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients. Repeated late cancellations may affect future booking availability.
Currently, all grooming takes place at our Camira salon. This allows us to maintain a consistent, clean environment with the full range of equipment on hand. We do not currently offer mobile grooming services.
Yes, street parking is available near our Woodlands Ave location. The area is generally quiet during appointment hours, so arrival and departure should be straightforward.
Your dog on a lead, and any vaccination documentation if it's your first visit. If your dog has a preferred toy or comfort item that helps them stay calm, you're welcome to bring that too. Otherwise, there's nothing else needed from your end.
Transparency about our practices helps you feel confident about bringing your dog to us.
All equipment is cleaned and sanitised between each dog. Tables, tubs, and tools are maintained to a professional standard to prevent cross-contamination.
We will not force a dog through a grooming session that is causing them significant distress. If a dog needs a break, we take one. The dog's wellbeing always takes precedence over schedule.
We'll let you know if we notice something unusual during the groom — a skin change, ear concern, or temperament issue. We're not vets, but we will always flag things worth checking.
We work by appointment only to ensure each dog receives proper time and attention. We'll give you a realistic time estimate and contact you when your dog is ready for pickup.
We use professional grooming products that are appropriate for dogs. If you'd like to know what products are used, just ask. We're happy to discuss alternatives for sensitive skin.
Grooming techniques and best practices continue to evolve. We stay informed through industry resources and genuinely enjoy improving our approach based on experience and feedback.
